Elastic polyethylene tape completely waterproof adhesive to air and steam
It has an entirely reinforced self-adhesive side in the longitudinal direction to reinforce the film and has an elastic behavior able to follow the movements between the various media on which it is applied. It has a fully adhesive coated surface of an acrylic adhesive of adhesive incredible tenacity, able to stick to any material. The bonding toughness is guaranteed for 30 years.
With Steam Barrier Renova is possible to intervene in the renovation of the window opening in order to guarantee the sealing of windows and doors installed on older or subframes of old frames of doors and windows.
This product is distributed in rolls of 25 linear meters long and 50 mm wide.
Fields of application:
In the project Posaclima Renova this tape is used for two purposes: to seal the crack between the old subframe and the wall when it is not provided for its elimination; more generally, this tape is applied to seal all the cracks between the elements (bins, old subframes, old frames, etc.) and the wall before laying the new window. Since it is not plastered it can only be applied on hidden joints in restructuring which are then coated. In this way they avoid drafts and infiltration of moisture and steam.
The other purpose for which it is used is for splicing any swarf of Flexoterm panel. In this case after opposing the two panels applies a strip of tape on both sides and the panel returns to be perfectly waterproof.
