MS Powerflex 25 / MS Cristallino is an adhesive sealant ideal for insulating the lower crosspiece of the window frame (internal and external) . MS Powerflex 25 is an MS Polymer based, moisture curing, neutral reaction sealant-adhesive. It is formulated from the union of a silane (silicon + functional groups) and a polymer (polyester, polyether, polyacrylic: the abbreviation MS stands for "Modified Sealant". Depending on its composition it can be configured more as an adhesive (high tenacity bonding agent) or as a sealant (highly elastic).
The best solution for sealing windows
The covering formulations (white, gray, black, brown) are highly adhesive while the transparent formulation is less adhesive and can only be used indoors. In the field of MS polymers this product represents the best solution for sealing windows: in fact it has reached the
highest performance standards for a sealant, reaching the F-25 LM class according to UNI EN ISO 11600. Available in 290 ml cartridges in the following colors: transparent (for indoor use only), white, gray, brown, black, oak, golden.
The MS Powerflex 25 product (excluding transparent coloring) is guaranteed for 10 years for application as a sealing bead under the lower crosspiece of the window frames if applied according to the instructions in the technical data sheet.

How can MS Powerflex 25 / MS Crystalline be used?
Specifically designed for sealing the lower crosspiece of the frame, both inside and outside , and possibly for sealing the uprights. It has excellent adhesion on wood, glass, ceramic, natural stone, but also on absorbent substrates such as plaster and concrete without the use of primer. Also suitable for copper, zinc and aluminum: on some colors of painted aluminum there may be some compatibility problems and it is therefore recommended to carry out a preliminary test.
Overpaintable after drying with the main water-based and solvent-based paints. The white color can also be used as an adhesive (eg to glue the Teknica PVC stop to the shoulder or to glue the vapor barriers on the wall).
Advantages of MS Powerflex 25 / MS Crystalline Adhesive Sealant
Compared to traditional sealants for doors and windows, it offers the following advantages:
- It hardens in a humid environment and is therefore suitable for sealing on damp substrates;
- Highly adhesive ;
- Good drying even at low temperatures;
- Able to compensate for any movements of the support - permanently elastic;
- Suitable for both indoors and outdoors (excluding transparent coloring);
- Resistant to rain and temperatures from -40 ° C to + 100 ° C;
- Absence of solvents , isocyanates and PVC - practically odorless;
- Excellent resistance to UV rays for colored formulations;
- Overpaintable after drying (Warning: for overpainting with wall paints wait at least 24 hours. If it is overpainted with silicate paints, irreversible color changes may occur);
- Does not stain natural stones and / or porous surfaces;
- Caution: Not suitable for glass sealing or structural bonding . Not to be used in conjunction with butyl-based or EPDM products as it is incompatible.
Tip on using MS Powerflex 25 / MS insulation
- Adherent surfaces must be clean;
- On particular materials, before applying the product, carry out an adhesion test;
- Wet surfaces are not a problem, on the contrary they improve adhesion;
- Create a space under the lower crosspiece of the window of about 3 mm.
- Inject the product into the crack and remove all excess, so that the sealant is flush with the lower crosspiece;
- To remove the excess correctly and without smudging, we suggest, after application, to wet the curb with the PosaClima Scivolante T / 1 smoothing agent and smooth it with the PosaClima modeling spatula;
- Attention: the transparent product can undergo yellowing phenomena in the dark;
- The yellowing disappears if the product comes into contact with sunlight;
- The fresh product can be removed with a solvent that is not too aggressive (always carry out a preliminary test);
- Hardened sealant can only be removed mechanically.
