Konigline Fenster Silicon: specific silicone for wooden windows
Recommended for sealing glass in wooden windows
One-component elastic silicone sealant with neutral cross-linking of alkoxy type (odorless) formulated specifically for the window and door sector. Special formulation with additive with specific primer to improve adhesion on the main non-porous materials (painted wood / PVC). Sealant particularly suitable for the perimeter sealing of glass in wooden windows painted with water-based products.

Characteristics of Konigline sealant for glass and wooden windows
Its main features are:
- Additive with adhesion promoter ;
- Absence of softening on the paint ;
- Certified compatibility with Fenzi THIOVER BUTYLVER double glazing sealants;
- Low shrinkage .
Classified Class F EXT / INT CC 25 LM according to UNI EN 15651-1; Class G CC according to UNI EN 15651-2; XS1 class according to UNI EN 15651-3.
Attention : The product complies with the performance requirements of sealants according to UNI 11673-1, par.6; however, its use as a sealant for sealing the lower crosspiece of the window frame is not recommended due to the fact that neutral silicones do not guarantee the necessary adhesion on damp surfaces and can release silicone oils on natural stones.
How to use this silicone for doors and windows?
- For sealing the glass in water-painted wooden windows (compatibility with certified Fenzi double-glazing sealants);
- For elastic joints between various surfaces such as: glass, metals, ceramic, concrete, refractory materials (whether porous or smooth), rigid plastics (PC, PVC), painted wood;
- Excellent resistance to the outside ;
How NOT to use this silicone for windows?
- The product must not be used for making double glazing or for structural gluing of glass;
- It is not suitable for use on marble and natural stones as it can cause halos and stains;
- Not suitable for sealing aquariums or for sealing underwater;
- Not suitable for food use;
- Not suitable for bonding mirrors;
- It does not adhere to PE, PP, PTFE;
- It cannot be painted over;
- Additivated with specific preservative against the formation of mold.
Application
To obtain maximum performance in terms of adhesion, the surfaces concerned must be dry and clean; in particular, degreasing solvents can be used to remove grease or grease. It is possible to smooth the product, after extrusion, with PosaClima Scivolante T / 1, then removing the excess with PosaClima modeling spatula. On difficult surfaces (eg painted aluminum) it is recommended to carry out a preliminary adhesion test before applying the product. Warning: the expired product no longer polymerizes properly (it remains sticky for a very long time): therefore, do not use the product after the expiry date.
