Let me introduce myself: my name is Elia Caneppele and I am the founder of Windowo, an online shop for window items. I am a digital entrepreneur by profession. Today I decided to tell you my story.
Who is Elia Caneppele?
In 2014, at the age of 24, I became one of the founding members of
Windowo , the online store dedicated to the window professional. Since then I have been helping to manage this all-Italian e-commerce. My first goal is to communicate online to offer you free valuable content related to the world of doors and windows.

What does Elia Caneppele do
I start by telling you something about me, just to break the ice:
- I have been playing the saxophone for years but unfortunately I practice little and my patient teacher has now lost all hope;
- I love dogs, especially Irish setters : anyone who knows them already knows how wonderful they are;
- I am a digital entrepreneur, in the sense that I earn my living thanks to the internet;
- In particular, I manage Windowo, the online shop for window items.
My foundations are classic. I love art history and literature, especially mythology. But when it was time to leave the small high school in my country to go to university, I left my beloved Homer. So I chose the faculty of
economics , like an explorer who ventures into the unknown.
After graduating in international economics at the
University of Verona, I approached the
technical hardware for windows , thanks to the fact that my father was a wholesaler who had been operating in the same sector for decades. In less than a year I realized that the path I wanted to take was not that of traditional door-to-door sales. I wanted to trace my way along a new frontier, which was wild and unclear for many at the time: the world of digital entrepreneurship. So
I dived my head into online sales . And I still have to catch my breath.
Why create Windowo?
The Windowo online store opened its doors in April of the year of the lord 2014 after Christ. A digital age ago: it could be said that it was during the "Pleistocene" of online shops. The industry has changed a lot since then. And not only that: over the years the way of understanding what a digital entrepreneur is.
At the time I created Windowo to allow people to
get the best window accessories at the lowest possible price . Technical and professional products, often difficult to find (especially in small quantities). I was the first to create some of the thousands of product sheets you find today on our shop. Nobody was selling these things on the internet, we were the first. Perhaps, also for this reason, the results started to arrive right away.
What is Windowo today for its founder?
Today just selling seems very limiting to me. Of course, we are still
primarily an online store where you can find hardware, handles, mosquito nets and much more. But we have evolved: together with the team of great professionals with whom I have the pleasure of collaborating every day, we have understood that
people need useful information more than products .
We understand that we must first help the client understand what can allow them to live a wonderful and fulfilling life in their home. Only then do you think about what to buy. Consequently, we have focused on producing quality content on the world of doors and windows.
Why is content so important?
Here, I have briefly described my work history. In fact, over the years my life has changed a lot in many important aspects that I have not told you about. For example, now I am also the proud father of two children who keep me busy at least as much as managing Windowo.
I try to improve every day by taking a cue from the lightness and mistakes made in the past. For this reason, as the founder of Windowo, it is no longer enough for me to give you the best brands on windows and doors and get them where you want. I would also like to help you guide your purchasing choices,
create online solutions to the problems of fixtures you would like to solve.
I communicate the contents of Windowo through the different channels I have available: the product sheets, the
Windowo blog , the social and YouTube channels, the podcast and for the future I have a lot of new projects in the pipeline including the Windowo book. It is an ever-developing ecosystem. So I can knock on your door,
