Bricoman becomes Tecnomat: why this name change?

Bricoman becomes Tecnomat : with this renaming , the famous retailer (part of Gruppo Adeo ) changes positioning in the professional and technical market. The goal of the name change, combined with the strengthening of the current sales network, is to increase its turnover and reach 4 billion in 2030.

The Bricoman Italia chain is specialized in technical products. The Bricoman brand is owned by the French multinational bricolage and home improvement Gruppo Adeo.

An important change of the name from Bricoman to Tecnomat has recently been decided: the aim is to reinforce the brand as a reference point in TECHNICAL MATERIALS , and to underline the focus on the world of professional products (in any case able to satisfy the needs of private customers too. ).

In this way the old Bricoman brand is released from the bond, now close, with the simpler concept of do-it-yourself.

Together with the launch of the new brand, an important territorial development project was announced which will be completed over the next few years. The retailer Bricoman and now Tecnomat closed 2021 with a turnover of 1.5 billion euros and aims to reach 4 billion euros by the year 2030.

Bricoman Italia is part of the gigantic Adeo group, based in France .

Adeo holds the first place in Europe and the third in the world in the DIY market. To understand the power of this subject, just think that it operates in Italy with the renowned Leroy Merlin and Bricocenter brands.

Bricoman 2021 turnover was 1.5 billion euros, achieved in 28 points of sale and employing a personal deployment of 4,200 individuals.

Now Bricoman Italia changes its name and will be called Tecnomat . Together with the launch of the new brand, a grandiose territorial development plan is presented, of which we will now go through the details together. Read on to learn more.
 

From Bricoman to Tecnomat: what are the future steps of the brand change?

"At the moment, each store employs around 150 people with a turnover of around 50 million euros. The territorial development plan sees 4 new openings a year and will create around 600 more jobs each year." - Maria Tamborra, CEO of Bricoman Italy.

The Bricoman renaming project began on March 16, 2022 and the first step was the inauguration of the brand new Tecnomat store in Assemini . This new Tecnomat store replaces the historic Elmas store, the first one opened for 14 years.

The sign change will continue in all other points of sale .

The future development of the Bricoman commercial network, which will lead to 1,500 new jobs in the next three years, foresees:
 
  • 3 openings in 2022 in Ravenna, Rimini and Capodrise;
  • 12 points of sale in the next three years on the Italian territory including Piedmont, Lazio, Lombardy and Sicily;
  • another 40 stores by 2024;
  • another 70 stores by 2030.

With these actions, the retailer, which closes 2021 with a turnover of 1.5 billion euros, creates a project worth 4 billion euros by 2030.
