Sottsass Associati was founded in 1980 by Ettore Sottsass Jr., Aldo Cibic, Marco Marabelli, Matteo Thun and Marco Zanini.
Over the years the composition of the Company has changed and currently, together with Ettore Sottsass Jr. and Marco Zanini, the architects Johanna Grawunder appear in Mike Ryan, the graphic designer Mario Milizia and the designer James Irvine.
After a start concentrated above all on industrial design and interior design, the Studio has extended its activity to architecture, graphics and the study of the corporate image, making use of the collaboration of professionals from different countries and from different disciplines.
The internationality of customers and collaborators, the constant sensitivity for cultural research and experimentation have always distinguished the work of Sottsass Associati.
Today the studio deals with projects of any kind and size based on the close collaboration between its different creative departments, allowing a total consistency of language in all design phases: from the design of the products to their presentation to the public, from the graphic design to the preparation of exhibitions to interior and architecture projects.
